James:
Sorry I can't speak specifically to your issue, but rather more in
generalities in replacing these rigid lines. IMO, the three big potential
pains are: 1) the "clips" holding the lines in place; 2) getting the rigid
line into place without distorting it or removing nearby components, and 3)
Forming the line if it does not come pre-formed. When I had to replace a
section of fuel line on my 5KCSTQ, it came preformed to the appropriate
contours. It was a major PITA to get it into place without deforming it
however, and I did leave one of the clips un-clipped because of
accessibility issues. When I had to replace a section of brake line on same
car, it came in the proper length but was perfectly straight necessitating
some oh so careful forming so as not to kink it.
So in summary, the difficulty in replacement will be determined by the
routing of the line and whether it comes pre-formed.
Regards,
Mark

Does that online Family Album still exist? and if so where is it?
I discovered this morning that I'm leaking gas... Yikes! Somewhere
underneath the car close to the cat's from what I could see, it's a small
drip, but enough that it takes a couple of tries before the car starts. I
can't see anything from inside the engine bay so I suspect it's underneath
the car. Perhaps I ripped or cracked a line in a snow bank or something? I
do have the belly pan installed, and I've already had the Fuel Line recall
done.
Any ideas? What does a fuel line from front to back cost? How hard is it to
change?
Above all where's dat darn link!
Cheers, /James.
