[s-cars] Malfunctioned Coil(s)

Hi Kevin,
Are you sure it's the coil and not the PSO device? Anyway, best way to rule out is with engine running disconnect in sequence each injector (and replace of course) until you find the cylinder that is not getting a spark, you will notice the car run much ruffer on 3 cylinder than 4. Once you have found the suspect cylinder to rule out the PSO device swap them and see if the malfunctioning cylinder changed position, if it does it's a bad channel in the PSO module, if not then it's a bad coil.
Replacement of the coil is fairly simple, but you will have to choose between splicing the new wires into the old or get new connectors (crimps) from Dealer for the new wires of the coil.
Cheers, /James.
P.S. Another test is to disconnect the injectors and with the coil pack removed with spark plugs inserted have someone turn the car over and check the strength of the spark.

One or more of my coils are shot. Is there a sequence of steps to take to
see which one it is to avoid testing every one. Also, for someone as
unmechanical as myself, is this something you can do on your own without
problems?
