Hi,

When I went looking at these things, I found that the universal
tool was very big and took a lot of room between the caliper
and the piston.  I found that the NAPA SER3355 was better for
the job because it's slimmer.  But the price is fatter at $16.

I also found that if I just put the disc piston tool at the end of
a socket extension and tried to turn it with a ratchet while
pushing, I could not push with enough force on the rathcet to
compress the piston.

What I do instead is I use this disc piston tool in combination
with a disc brake pad spreader (like SER3376).
I use the end of the pad spreader to hold the SER3355 tool
in contact with the piston, then I tighten up the pad spreader
a little bit at a time while I turn the disc piston tool with
a pair of plyers.  Turning the tool in this way instead of
turning the face of the piston itself reduces the chance of
causing damage to the piston and the seal.

After making a few turns in this way, I am able to release
the pressure on the pad spreader, put the disc piston tool
onto a ratchet with an extension, and then crank the piston
in using the disc piston tool alone.
