It was used on both new and old parts.  It went on the new RS2 turbo and
manifold and on my existing brake calipers and some other hardware.
It is important that everything is clean prior to application.  You also
want to be sure to do the two coats as directed.  The stuff covers
extremely well with just one coat but a single coat won't cut it.  ;-)
