Cody,
A couple of words of caution in regard to the brake pads you choose or
recommend in regard to your GP. My experience is all with the Stage 3
kit but I'd imagine the stage 2 kits to be similar in regard to my
comments:
Mintex Red box - fine for anyone doing street driving but NOT acceptable
for really hard street or any kind of track driving. The pad will leave
deposits on the rotor and cause a shimmying (feels like the rotors are
warped).
C-Tech upgrade - VERY worthwhile in my opinion ( I did it) BUT I would
recommend the 1144 compound for MOST people. I believe what he will
supply is the 1155 compound which is MUCH harsher and comes with a MUCH
bigger warning label in regard to not driving on public roads with
them. Last time I checked, Tom was not aware that there was another
compound besides the 1155 but there should be no reason why he can't get
it. There are actually two others, 1144 and 1166, I picked up a set of
the 1144's at a Porsche shop and have been VERY happy with them on the
street and one track weekend at Laguna Seca. I'd venture that the
1155's will wear down the rotors pretty quickly, and at $350/set of
rotors in the Stage 3 kit, that's a big penalty if you're not really
going to use them as intended.
Just my $0.02
