Don't have the answer, but maybe the vibration is being caused by dried out
grease in the front driveshaft CV. That is a fairly common problem at the 80
to 100k mile mark. Mechanics regreased mine and end of problem. Exhaust has
to be dropped.

I am diagnosing my driveline vibration/shudder on acceleration. I have
finally got around to getting my car up on lift. How much play should I see
in that center carrier bearing (CB) if I try and move the driveshaft around
with my hand? Should that bearing move around much at all?

Thanks -AP
