Subject: [s-cars] Carrera Cup style air box?

Just wondering if anyone has tried to modify a stock AAN air box to a
"Carrera Cup" style that is fully cut away with a panel K&N. Similar
effect as the K&N cone filter, but possibly without the huge amounts of
hot air. You could keep the OE cold air intake at the front and leave
the front side of the airbox intact, but cut away the top and rear of
it to help with low end throttle response. I currently have a K&N panel
in my otherwise stock S4 airbox. Just looking for BTDTs on air
induction performance & noise (yes, more is better!) for my newly
acquired S6!!!!!!! Thompson's new ride >>>

the thing of the past now. I have a newly found rekindled love for
faster, newer Audis and have been download crazy for videos on my
broadband connection. Just uploaded the MTM RS4 video to my website.
Man does that RS4 engine sound sweet! More Audi porn to be uploaded
soon.

Thompson! Congrats on taking the plunge!!!

REAL nice looking car you're getting, hope it works out well for you.
Looking forward to any 'louder' induction sounds you successfully produce, I
agree here, louder induction is BETTER! Oh, dig the interior sounds of that
RS4 accelerating.

Hope to check out your new ride soon. Bummer to hear the UrQ is going
though! Shoot me an email with the details on that...
