Subject: [s-cars] emissions....so close!
Yeah, what I meant to say is:
I just got back from failing my VA emissions test.
nothing too severe I think and it should be relatively
easy to remedy. I wanted to post the results and see
if anyone had any suggestions or has BTDT
Here are the results. I hope they come out alright:
|IdleLimit|IdleTest|||SpeedLimit|SpeedTest|
HC | 220 | 447 ||| 220 | 151 |
CO | 1.20 | .93 ||| 1.20 | 1.15 |
-------------------------------------------
As you can see, I failed the idle HC test. The S4
could use an oil change. Might take a look at the
plugs and at the next tech event, try and hunt around
for any possible vacuum leaks. Perhaps a new O2 sensor
is in order?
Thanks for any help

Sandy-
1st, and most obvious... go SLAP that YUTZ you bought it from already 8-).
2nd... slap in a can of Dry Gas on your way to your retest. Run her up to
f'n Mach 3 right up to the door of the place, nice 'n hot (obeying all
posted traffic laws, butofcourse), should do the trick. YMMV, good luck.
