I know that a few of us are replacing these things with BMW ones. The
problem with them is that they seem to be softer rubber than the stock
ones. I came across one on ebay a while back that John Nelson was
selling from Sierra Motorsports. It is a custom unit that has it's
support made from Polyurethane instead of rubber. Supposedly if you
drop the clutch or accelerate really hard the drive shaft can get
whipping around pretty badly with the stock or the BMW unit. He will
make more of them if 3 or more people want them. He said they would be
about $150 ea. I haven't gotten mine so I cannot comment but I just
thought that I would put it out there.
Trevor.
