I would try a shovel. If the snow is heavy, a little anti-seize on the
blade is also helpful.
Just make sure you ask Scott J. first. I could be *completely* wrong.

Yup, we're trying to dig out from the blizzard here in Golden and we're
stuck.
The driveway is covered with 4' of snow and the snow blower only made a
trivial dent before we ran out of gas. Knowing that the trusty 93 S4 had a
full tank, we tried siphoning, but we're unsuccessful (despite stuffing
about 5' of hose into the tank).
I'm guessing one of you knowledgeable folks can point me to some other way
to access the fuel that will allow us to break free to go play on the snowy
Colorado Mtn. roads.
