[s-cars] Water Drain Valve in Plenum Chamber

Oh no, this is for real, Mark. There is a drain valve in the plenum
chamber - the area under the plastic cover between the base of the
windshield and the firewall. The drain empties the plenum chamber of
rainwater and melted snow. It also catches tree leaves, pine needles, dead
insects, etc. which can plug up the drain valve. If the valve gets plugged
off, the chamber can fill with water and eventually you will be wondering
why the blower fan is spraying stinky water through your vents.
So, to make a long story short, check the drain valve every now and then.

What in blazes is that? Browsing Sr. Bentley on a rainy Friday night, and
on page A44 of volume 1 it says "Water Drain Valve in Plenum Chamber: Check
and clean/replace if dirty". This is for the 7500 mile service and
indicated for an S6.

Any insights or is this like the non-existent pollen filter?

Best regards,
