I believe you are right...left hand oil seal..but still doesn't explain why the diff. lock is not working...thoughts?

Probably the output shaft seal on that side, Cody. That's the big seal,
too - a bit of a PITA to change as I recall.

Gents,
Well finally got under the car tonight as I smelled tranny fluid an saw
some leaking on the pavement from the rear end diff. Well there is some
major fluid under there..not sure exactly where it is leaking but this
cannot be good.
Thoughts? Experiances? Costs?
