Well, apart form 'Jet' (Conoco), all the gas stations around here get
the same fuel, (Namely Esso, as there's only one refinery on this side
of the country..) so it's pretty steady quality. There's supposed to be
some additives in various vendors, but to be frank, (I'm normally Bjorn)
I think they just fill up the tanks with the same stuff.
Esso's refinery is supposed to be the most modern plant in northern
europe, so I really don't think they make 'bad' fuel here. (I almost
always fill 'Jet' fuel, as they're usually a bit cheaper though..)

B :o)

backpressure test, codes, etc. and found that the backpressure is within
normal specs with no codes coming up. I was also told that the smell
means that the cats are working as they should by burning off excess
fuel. I am still not convinced that they are ok and will be removing
them soon and will let you know if I can 'see' any problems with them.

huge difference (Esso's being the worst). This difference is not
limited to the smell either, but also pinging, hesitation etc.
