Check the manual for a hand-written, four number code, ie 1825 (that's
my code, not yours :-)) or perhaps its marked near the battery (good
place to keep it ) It may be marked on the case itself. Otherwise, if
the car was maintained by a known dealer that still has maint records,
they may have the code in their records without having to resort to the
original delivery records of Audi NA. When you get the number, write
it on the face of the unit, since the pros know its not worth stealing
unless they also have an S-4. Hopefully, the good news is you changed
the battery before low voltage starts damaged anything. I would
encourage anyone with a 3 yr old battery to schedule a replacement in
Sep or Oct, before cold wx comes again. And, hopefully the ABS reset
before you decided to "repair" it . :-)
