[s-cars] Transmission Mounts

They are very easy to replace. I don't know if you can tell if they have
failed by looking at them. Mine looked the same as they ones I replaced them
with. But, the replacement did cure a vibration on acceleration, that
someone suggested was because of slight misalignment of the driveshat CV,
caused by the failed tranny mounts.
As far as the rattling noise, I still have a rattling noise on hard
acceleration in first and second. So, I'm not sure new mounts would cure it,
but I suppose it couldn't hurt.

Subject: [s-cars] Transmission Mounts
Guys,
On hard acceleration in second gear I get a metal on metal rattling from the
transmission area (not "in" the transmission). I believe it is the exhaust
hitting a crossmember due to bad tranny mounts. Are failed tranny mounts
easy to spot? Do they both go at the same time or usually one or the other?
Finally, are they easy to replace?
Thanks, Ed
