[s-cars] stainless steel brake lines

One of the main reasons they don't last so long, according to the folklore,
is grit getting into the braid, and chafing thru the liner, causing leaks.
This is Bad News. I recently got a set of SS lines with clear shrink-wrap
covering the braid, and Earl's ends, from Euro-Car Service www.ecstuning.com
for not a lot of money, something like $80 total. I'm happy with them. New
SS lines and ATE Super Blue, and my squishy pedal is completely gone. YMMV.

I'm sick of this crummy pedal! Stiffening up the system should help, but
what's the long term prognosis for stainless steel brake lines? I seem to
remember posts about them only lasting a few years.

Paragon's got a set of 4 for $71.

TIA
