On my car the headlight washer hoses had a leak in them, and corroded a
connector that attatches the temp sensor in the bumper to the wiring
harness in the car.. cleaned that connector and all is well. I had
exactly the same problem as you.. Its on the drivers side, I had to pull
the headlight to access the connection.
