[s-cars] re:Interior lights?

All,
My main interior lightswitch slider inside pice doohickey is
broken/missing. I can't seem to understannd how it worked., must be
some parts missing. I ordered the light assembly from an online dealer -
 at the chance that it's all included as one replaceable part (EKTA has
really bad sketch of this) It is backordered of course. My question is
has anyone BTDT with this crazy slider switch. I have the slider part,
but nothing to engage it - it just sloshes around. I'll get some
pictures this weekend and show ya what I mean
