[s-cars] Spark Plugs - anti-seize compound = NO

So you are torquing the S car plug to 16 ft/lbs? Yikes! What do you figure the new effective heat range is? The problem you may not be aware of is, that the newer plug technology from Bosch and others is to use plated threads. In such a case, your "R" torque reduction varies from an older plug you might have used in the 80's. R torque values depend on the material you are using, IOW, the "25%" reduction is usually steel to steel reduction, not plated steel to aluminum head. You are guessing. Audi publishes a dry torque specification for all specified spark plugs into their aluminum castings. A/S has the known problems, oil based products create others, i.e, specifically causing coking of threads over time.
"No problems" was defined by Mario Andretti once as "damn lucky"
I'm all for anecdotal btdt on the 4wd, but in terms of spark plugs, neither bosch or audi recommend this procedure. That's several thousand fold more cars than any YMMV stories found on these lists.
NO, NO, and NO, and I hope this "thread" gets thoroughly ignored in the archives.
This is a DIY mod that has only DIY support from the "old days" of non plated plug threads. I'll take comfort in the fact that there are few shops that would even consider this, and those that do, better know how to helicoil heads. BTDT it's not at all a procedure without stress.
You guys are doing this on purpose to raise my R factor.
:)
