[s-cars] '94 S4 rear brake pad life?

My rear brake pads was changed for the first time after 80Kmiles, but
before you dismantle your rear brakes, just unbolt the calliper and
check if the calliper pins moves freely. On the four Audis I had, I
totalized 7 jammed rear calliper pins. Good Audi dealers clean and
re-lube the calliper pins each time they change the pads but it seems
pin lube do not last as long as rear pads and Audi never modified this
rule for the rear callipers.

BTW, if a calliper pin is jammed you'd better change the calliper
bracket - usually comes with new calliper pins - as they sell for cheap.
I've tried to save many calliper pins but never manage to have one last
more then two or three oil changes when they were jammed. You can also
decide to clean, grind and re-lube this pin at each oil change but it
soon cost more than a new calliper bracket.

I changed the rear pads about 12 months ago (20K miles) and the right
one is scraping and will soon be damaging the rotor.

Any ideas on how I could go through a set of factory pads on the rear
in 20K miles? I usually go through two sets of front pads before the
rears need changing.
