[s-cars] Front Lower Ball joint Boot - BTDT Today

Just R&Rd the front control arm ball-joint boot today.  I buggered it up
installing Eibach/Bilstein last weekend.  Apparently the boot is not
available separately for the S6, but per Bob Pastore - and my firsthand
today - the 5K boot does in fact fit.  The part number (perhaps superseded
by now) is 431407377A.  I did not have access to "dental" picks as again Bob
suggested, however Sears has a set of 4 Craftsman picks for ~ $7 that worked
like a charm.  Removal of the boot retaining springs was of no issue as the
boot was buggered already so what the hey.  Installation was a tad more
delicate, but no real big deal either.  If anybody wants more detail, feel
free to drop me a line.

P.S.  The boot for the S6 MAY be available separately but certainly does not
appear to be an Audi part #.  My guess is that TRW is the manufaturer.  The
numbers on the S6 boot are TRW 030 0002 103 009.
P.P.S.  For anybody that can guess why I guessed TRW, you will receive total
consciousness on your death bed.
