One "software" guru from finnish audi list, Tommy, came to check the
car. First we took the ECU from car
(http://www.kolumbus.fi/miikka.salonen/ECU/ecu1.jpg) and took the
chips and read it with reader
(http://www.kolumbus.fi/miikka.salonen/ECU/reader.jpg) to his later
analysing (just for fun). The was one thing with the ECU. The upper
board wasn't right in the place and the connector pins where therefore
little bit loose. That could even be the problem I had. Anyway, we put
ECU back in the car and went to test drive.
I drove for quite long time and we could get any errors. The thing of
cource was that I left to cover of the relays under the stearing wheel
backset and they did get cold air all the time. So if some old relay
fails when getting hot, that couldn't happen. I already ordered fuel
pump relay and main power relay and I'm going to change them anyway.
Fuel pump relay because it has some mysterious connection to the ECU
power.
Oh, and one thing about the car. It had orginally 350hp program, but
it has been modified, probably cos of better exhaust manifold and
pipe. One interesting feature is that the lambda was all time 1.00 and
so no compensation was used. I'll have to ask what the hell MTM's
Peter Link did to the program last time it was modified.
Btw, here is Tommy's own made fuel map for his car (RS2 modified 200
20V) http://www.kolumbus.fi/miikka.salonen/ECU/fuelgraph.jpg
