You were the first responder and you hit the nail on the head...a new master
cyl, the rod broke.  Job to be completed today...I'll be back piling on the
miles this weekend.

Additional cudos to Ray Tomlinson, Michael (S4quat), and Bill Mahoney for
their quick and correct observations as well.
