[s-cars] Lifter Noise After Hard-Runs?

Gents,
	I participated in a SCCA Drivers School on Saturday (If you want to learn more about my drive in 10" of snow w/ Summer Tires see link: http://forums.audiworld.com/s4s6/msgs/4944.phtml) Anyways it seemed after each exercise as my engine got warmer and warmer that I started to develop lifter noise at idle.  I am running Amsoil 20W-50 and I would only hear the lifter noise after each hard run.  I have never heard it running out on the highway after a spirited run, so not sure why it would only happen with these short but hard revving exercises.  The only other time I hear it is at Cold start-up for about 2 seconds before Oil Pressure comes up.

Time for New Lifters?  145K Miles.
