[s-cars] Eibachs... the other "true " story

Thee correct eibachs on an Avant (or at least on mine) are
1527 001 front
1517 002 rear
Visually the rear looks 1/2 higher to my calibrated eyeballs, however after
seeking empirical evidence, I measured and found exactly 5 5/8's inches from
top of 17" wheel to fender lip in BOTH front and back.  So, I am victim of an
elipitical delusion =O  again.
History and the eibach brochure tells us this is a set for an A6 non quattro,
automatic (no less) Avant.
But lets place the blame for all this confusion squarely where it belongs as
it all started way back when the CO boys and some Canucks organized the GP
from hell by ordering from the north pole and eibach had the same part number
for two different spring sets.  Apparently they all got Avant springs but
eibach made good and swapped them all out leading to xtra avant rear springs
lyin around.
So, I'm happy to make things clear as mud and beat one very dead horse.
