Of course, we'd all speak English fluently- the cops don't
have to know that, though. :-)
International license is not valid in your home country, but
I've seen it done, successfully. Go figure. Just need a foreign
passport and some big balls.

Excuse this lurker while I pop in with this observation...
What we have invented here is the Car of Babel.
Three drivers from three different countries that don't
speak English are very likely not to speak each other's languages
either, so they can't talk to each other.
I'd volunteer as the third driver (Italy ... English is actually my
second language that I learned when I was 8) but my driver's license is
from Ohio!
Is an international driver's license valid in the same country that
issued your real driver's license?
