Robert,

Hooey or no hooey, that is what my experience has indicated. And I do hold=
much faith in the mechanic that I spoke to.
However, that does not mean that Fuel Pump Relays can not fail... they can,=
and you have experienced that first hand... my message to Jose was to shar=
e the information that I have experienced recently...

I had a no-start situation and my diagnosis pointed at the fuel pump... how=
ever, the dealer over-ruled my diagnosis and replaced the Fuel Pump Relay (=
because they stuck one in, and the car started!). Then 3 days later... no-=
start again... well it was 2 more trips to the dealer before they came to t=
he same conclusion I had from the beginning. I was so disappointed in thei=
r diagnostic skills -- that I took the car home and replaced the fuel pump =
myself (not something I wanted to do in the middle of a Canadian winter). =
I also replaced the new Fuel Pump Relay with the original one... that is st=
ill working today, 6 months later!

Brent.
