Ray-
No problems here running Sumitomo HTR-ZII 255/40R17
on 17x8 ET35 or ET30 wheels.

10.3" section width in that size.

Only time I had rubbing were two occasions- jumping up
and down and pushing on the rear bumper of the fully loaded
car with three guys totalling a good 600 lbs; and at full
lock in one of the directions I think I get a tiny bit of
rub.

Bilstein Sport, H&R 29800 on '91 200q.

All,

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but I was wondering who is running 255/40/17
Pole S03's on the following setup and experience any *significant*
rubbing (occasional rear fender liner rub with your 450lb aunt in the
back seat does not count):

17x8 wheels, ET35
Bilstein/H&R (29921's)
happersized RSB

Bridgestone claims that their 255/40/17 = 9.4" wide (on an 8.5" wheel).

By comparison, the Toyo T1-S in the same size measures 10.4" in width,
and the Dunlop 8000 measures in at 10.7" (damn).

Thanks!

Ray
