[s-cars] Service Indicator - reading OIL???

My 95 UrS6's service indicator/trip odometer (below
the main odometer - where ln 0/ln 1/ln 2 usually flash
on start-up) is reading "0IL"... lasts for under 5
minutes and disappears...

checked the oil and everything looks fine - (oil
change less than 2500KM ago)... car drives fine....

anyone have any ideas on what this is trying to tell
me? I don't have a VAG-COM and can't find anything in
the owner's manual to shed light on this...

help appreciated...
