Well, despite the confusion surrounding the Eibachs... what's "right" and
what's "wrong..."

I was sold 1527.001 fronts and 1517.002 rears.  Upon discussion with the
Eibach tech, he informed me that 1516.002 was the correct part number for the rear
of an S4 sedan.  I can't do anything to clear the confusion beyond where it
stands, but I can tell you that they were decent enough to send me a free set
of the 1516.002 rears... received them today.  Interestingly, on the packing
slip, the springs were described as "revised spring for S4."  So, FWIW (possibly
very little), that's what they've done for me.
