A small correction;
The brakes on the car are from Mov'it, not MTM. The MTM brake option substitutes slotted Brembo rotors for the series rotors. My information, based on empirical research, is that the Brembo rotors do not have a sufficient working surface (too much cut out of the middle (i.e. big hat)) and will not stand up to hard use. Improved brake cooling is required for these cars, very little air gets to the interior of the wheel wells, and what does has been warmed by passage through the intercoolers.
Interestingly, the Champion RS6s are running into brake problems and have, allegedly, resorted to water spraying the rotors, however I have not seen any clouds of steam in the photographs so cannot confirm that this is happening.
As an aside, I noticed a fellow lister wanted suggestions for taking a high mileage car to the track for the first time. I have found that any high mileage car greatly benefits from new shock absorbers, old shocks don't work very well.

While I was only a passenger in one, I can second Frederic's opinion after a ride in Robin's MTM'd RS6 with 800 Nm of torque (590 ft-lb)The sound is quite nice. While waiting in the middle of the hotel lobby with both sets of sliding doors closed. I heard an quite equisite motor sound, and I knew it must be him! Sure enough it was. There is some sort of exhaust cutout that opens ( based on boost level ?) up for extra aural pleasure.Even with moderate traffic on the local Autobah around München, Robin was able to acheive 280 km/h (175 mph) with no effort at all. Simply amazing.The MTM brakes were also quite impressive :)Would be the ultimate Autobahn burner, if you could solve the problem of having to stop for petrol every hour (perhaps an extra 100 liter fuel cell in the back?).Cheers,KeithKeith Maddock, TRW Automotive, Koblenz, GermanySlip Control Systems, Systems Design, Traction Control+49 (0)261/ 895 2474 - - keith.maddock at trw.com>>> "Frederic L'Huillier" <Frederic.L'Huillier at Siebel.com> 09:37:58 23.05.2003 >>>This is a multi-part message in MIME format.--[ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ]Hi,So yesterday I received the RS6 MTM for the annual show of the frenchAudi Club. What can I say in normal words ?????535 horsepowers is absolutely scary. Thanks to the tiptronic gearbox tomanage the gears while I manage the two pedals and the steering wheel.But the best is the engine sound. Some kinds of secret system is makingthe engine scream over 5000 rpm. A ducatti biker looked who wasfollowing him in a long tunnel yesterday as I was right behind himmaking more noise than he did. A first for him and for me. Other thanthat, Even the french police is curious and amazed !!!!!I will do some videos and put them on the web very soon.This is the bultimate beast !!!Regards,Frederic.--_______________________________________________S-CAR-List mailing listS-CAR-List at audifans.comhttp://www.audifans.com/mailman/listinfo/s-car-list
