I had the same problem with my '95.5. I believe it is pad material
deposition on the rotors. I also cured the problem with new rotors (Euro A8)
and new pads (snuggled into a set of new 4 piston calipers from a 996
Carrera <grin>).

The difference in stopping power and pedal feel is unbelievable!
