Hello,

Disassembling that left rear C/D pillar is a long process.

You've got to take out the
	rear headrests
rear headrest guides (push out from trunk!)
	rear seat bottom
partially disassemble and move aside rear outside shoulder belts
	rear seat back
speakers and ampfliers on rear parcel shelf
	rear parcel shelf
and then
	C/D pillar

I did it once. Took me hours to figure out that the rear headrest guides
had to be pushed out from the trunk. Really screwed up a pair of them.

The c/d pillar pops off, be careful you don't break one or more
of the clips that hold it in. It's blocked by the parcel shelf,
which is why you've got to disassemble half the car.

When you get the C/D pillar off, you'll find the am/fm amplifier
back there. About $110 at the dealer. Part # 4A5-035-225E.
These are famous for going bad.

If you'd like to have a look at one of the antenna ampfliers before
you tear your car apart, I've got a bad one I'll be happy to send you.
Maybe a good electronics technician can figure out why they keep going
bad and work out how to repair them?
