Hey Mike,
Thanks for the recent interest in some scientific analysis for exhaust BP!
Note: Frank Amoroso has a Stromung with dual O2 sensors, so you can test his car for the backpressure.
I'll search the GP archives, and recommend some other CO Stromung folks (off list) who also have the extra O2 sensor hole. This was added to a few, specifically for gas analysis.

The new RSS Stromung downpipe will come stock with dual sensor ports.

Now: off to read that article!

It's just occurred to me that while I no longer have ready access to a stock
exhaust mit the after turbo sniffer pipe, I have somehow acquired several
fairly sensitive looking analog manometers, i.e. a 0 to 50" H2O (0 to @ 1.85
psi); a 0 to 80 inches H2O (@ 0 to 2.9 +/- PSI); and 0 to 5 psi and 0 to 15
psi. If there's a lister in the Denver area with a stock exhaust, on of
these ought to be able to record a fairly accurate back pressure figure for
a stock system. If someone else has got an extra down pipe bung hole in one
of the Stormrung systems to which we can fit a brass 1/8th or 3/16ths nipple
to run a pressure line to, we could also get a figure for the Stromrung
exhaust.

~Without question there is no other choice besides Stromung.

~To the extent you can't afford the full turbo-back setup then I suggest
~you read my exhaust FAQ at urs4.com.
~
~In summary (from least, ~$75, to most ~$1,250 + install, pricey)...
~
~Stage 1) gutted cats,
~Stage 2) custom 3" cat back (w/ or w/o intact cats),
~Stage 3) Stromung
~
~It is that simple. Don't reinvent the wheel (exhaust system). I have had
~all of the above. The value prop for the 3" (gutted, factory) cat back
~system (using one straight through 3" offset in / center out muffler) is
~tough to beat, and although I've gone stromng (it is a diminishing
~return, but the best one out there, and I am totally happy to be there)
~you might be happy at Stage 2. FWIW, Stage 3, with straight pipe in lieu
~of cat, is where I'll be for a long time to come.
