[s-cars] S6 Tachometer Error

That was me. In the interim Paul Gailus has determined that the fix is
actually very simple. He also has a '95 with this problem. He plugged in his
VAG-COM and when he checked the instrument panel he noticed it was set for 6
cylinders. Changed it to 5 and all is proper. At least that is what I
recall. I haven't had the opportunity to do that on my own car yet.
Your options are to find someone with a VAG-COM or Shadetree setup, or have the
dealer plug in their VAG1552 and reset the instrument panel.
