But it's already R134a from the factory. The problem is that apparently
you're supposed to fill it in the high side service port according to
the Bentley manual somone else clipped into a previous email

I don't know how the graphics will come out.
High pressure service valve, assembly
A - Service valve connection (soldered to front of
condenser)
B - Schrader valve insert
C - O-ring
D - Cap with seal
Note: Illustration shows the condenser and service valve of an
Audi
100 model
Only a high pressure service valve is used for A/C system
servicing. A low pressure service valve is not installed in the A/C
system.
Perform all A/C system service operations (i.e. discharging, evacuating,
and
charging) through the high pressure service valve only.

I don't know how this will work because as someone already suggested,
the pressure from the high side service port is greater than the
pressure in the cans of R134a and not only will it not take the coolant
out of the can, but it might blow the can up! Unless those instructions
are for R12 or just bogus altogether, I don't see how anyone (even a
dealer) could fill it back up with R134a. Totally confusing.
If I decidde to try to do it with the instructions contained in this and
the other R134a threads since yesterday, I can save myself the time and
money and just drive it off a cliff, because only disaster will come of
it. I'm waiting for the manual to arrive, but it's been in the 90s for
a couple of days now and I wanted to do this ASAP if I could. I'll just
wait for the manual.
Thanks,
JR
