[s-cars] cell phone speaker

After reconnecting my battery after finishing some maintenance,  my
cellphone speaker now makes popping sounds.  When the car is running,
there is a loud pop coming from the speaker about every 2 seconds.  It's
driving me crazy!  I don't want to disconnect the speaker if I don't
have to.  Even if I do disconnect the speaker, I imagine whatever is
causing the popping still has some sort of fault... what's up?
