[s-cars] Cylinder 3 problems, help!

Hey, recently I have been getting very strange hesitation from my engine.  the car will run fine for a while, and suddenly i will get a large loss of power and bucking from the engine in all gears at all powers.  it becomes hard to even engage first and the engine feels completely out of balance.  Usually it will last for atleast 10-15 minutes before going away or turning the car off repeated times until it works.  temperature is not relevant nor is time running.  I brought it to my mechanic and he said that he is seeing some problems with cylinder 3 bogging up.  we cant tell if its fuel injection or spark, but i heard of another source about 6 ports of something... idk.  any help!?! thanks!  mike 94 s4 with 100k miles
