My car, and a friends, we're both missing the lower plastic air duct. As a
result, air could easily pass around the IC. We fab'd some sheet aluminum to
seal the bottom, and then used stiff foam rubber to seal the circumference of
the IC. We both saw the same results (2 different cars)... an average gain of
about 15hp. His is a '94, mine a '93.

Well, I just posted some info regarding RS2 turbo availability, and things
look grim. I was thinking of bringing some over here... but not at that cost!
There are, however other good/great turbo options... just not as easy to bolt
on. I hope you aren't running 24+psi with your K24... Injectors, MAF,
chip??? Get out your wallet. Probably around $2500 if you can find everything.
Just 6 months ago, I was able to but the whole package (EM, turbo, injectors and
MAF) for $2365. Things seem to be going up fast, and the dollar is weak.

When I had just the RS2 EM and turbo, my readings were consistently 245-255.
I went down to St Louis, and my test numbers went to 272-283, and temp was
78F according to my car's dash display. So it seemed that sea level was worth
about 30hp. Hap should be impressed when he goes down low in the upcoming
days. These are good numbers that I took from the G-Tech, and I have a notebook
full of "testing" notes... on 2 different cars. Granted, these are not dyno
runs, so to speak... but I believe them to be valid data points, in terms of
improvement.
