Subject: [s-cars] Belly pans, do they really help our intercoolers work
better? Any sources?
All this talk about dyno's, intercoolers, and heat sink has got me
thinking. I don't have a belly pan on the silver S4. Does it really
make a big difference on how well our wimpy little innerfender mounted
intercooler works?
Isn't the belly pan the same as on an Audi 100..So I might be able to
find a used one at a junk yard..Is there any reason other than
cost/convenence to NOT install a belly pan?
Thanks for the input
Chris
Chris-
My guess would be no, the wider fender application on the S would dictate a
wider belly pan to match up to them. Any reason NOT to install??? Sure,
I've found one... post-summer-oil-change-laziness, coupled with giggling
over the now louder turbo whine / BPV / WG flutter now audible with it off.
Oh well, gots to get it back on there, winter's a here and it keeps it
cleaner under there at the least.
