Believe the primary reason for the belly pan is to cut noise, if you
believe the name on the parts list -- sound dampener. Does certainly
keep the motor cleaner and couldn't hurt aerodynamics. Otherwise, does
absolutely nothing for street cred and does make oil changes easier,
once removed.
