Unless the archives have a write up on it, I haven't seen any.... this is a
DIY-fabbed unit and is only semi-effective.

The 'short' part is result of removing the horizontal linkage that resides
in the tunnel above the tranny, cutting its 'ball joint' off and reattaching
it on a reduced 'perch' (cut it's mounting point maybe 1/8-1/4"... it'd make
sense if you were holding it).  Result is maybe 3/8 to 1/2" throw reduction.


Weighting is well worth it, but don't know about the effort involved in
accessing it with the box in place... mine was out of course.  If you could,
sure go for it.  If it's a bitch, wait until the box is out as it's likely
not worth that much effort.  Take the shaft, cork one end and fill the other
with lead buckshot.  Torch the shaft until it melts.  Probably added 3/4 lb.
to the total weight, and it's a nice 'snick' feeling now when shifting, very
positive.

Thank the CO boys for their guinea piginess on it of course (different than
Pizzo).
