Brett,

Appreciate your comments, but IME most instances of inaccurate readings/
false alarms with respect to Instrument clusters in the 200 and V8 (aside
from your glowing turn signal problem) are oxidation-related.  I've done the
solder repair on a 100 cluster for the bouncing speedo as well.  V8 clusters
are a wee bit different (more sophisticated) than the 200 -- I can't speak
for the UrS4/S6 ones.

I'm with you on buying items from distributors when possible, provided they
have what you're looking for.  I make it a case not to undercut my
distributors for the very reason you mention.
