[s-cars] Sony CD Changer Failure in Kathmandu?!?

I have no idea how to help this guy/girl, but the marketing guy in me can't
help but run with the possibilities of a commercial for an internet service
provider or for Sony, in which a wizened, world traveled guy who looks for
all the world like the Marlboro man, helps some 9-year-old dirty-faced
sherpa's daughter in a thatched-roof mud hut in the shadow of Mount Everest
get her Walkman working again via an email from Charlie Smith in Columbus,
Ohiheheo.  Kinda brings a tear to my eye.
Note to self...Call Sony!

I received this query on Sony CDX-A30 failure codes, probably from
his finding my web page on CD changer substitution.

Does anybody have suggestions on the problem, and possible solutions?
He didn't say if this is installed in an Audi, so I can't tell you that.
