On an AAN, the CPS is bolted to the front of the head, behind the cam
pulley. Inside the back of the pulley  there is a stamped steel ring with a
window in it which pases through the CPS to generate the hall signal.

The CPS is at the back of the head as far as I read in the Bentley.

I don't have a car near me right now to qualify that so can someone else let
us know ?
