Mike,
On a 95.5 S6, you can "talk" to the ECU, checking for and resetting fault
codes and also run the "output test" which exercises the fuel injectors one at
a time, the ISV valve and the WGFV. Check out Scott Mockry's excellent web
site[1] (http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/[2]) for more details. You can check,
clear codes and run tests on the climate controller and check and clear codes
on ABS and air bag controllers. The radio and doors/locks/windows/alarm
controllers are dumb, at least in my 95.5. The instrument cluster also talks,
allowing you to reset the oil, In 1 and In 2 service reminders. The connector
is a two prong affair in the fuse/relay box under the hood on the driver's
side, back by the firewall. You'll need some sort of "two wire to OBD"
adapter if you don't already have it -- Ross-Tech has them. I haven't found
any other smart modules in a 95.5. I'm curious about trying to find a '97
"body" controller from an A4 so I can program the windows to roll up when
pressing and holding the "lock" RF remote button...
Good luck!

I have the Ross-Tech Vag Com. Originally used on my 97 Audi A8. Now I'm
considering a 95 S6 and would like to know what uses have been found for S6.
Other than looking for DTC's what else can you do? Does anyone have a list
of mod's, to radio?, HVAC?, Doors/Windows? Maintenance resets? etc...
Also, where is the connector port, anyone know if the connector is the same
for 95.5 S6 and 97 A8?
Thanks!
