Hi,
The same is true or even better for Carmaker plates. This is how
Supercars like the Edonis participate to the Supercars Rallye in France.
Not to mention the look of the french policemen who know they can do
nothing about it !

Speaking of Elise... I saw two Spec-R Elises and a Lotus 340R at Park
Place when I was there for a Porsche Club meet last Friday. I know they
drive the 340R on the street here and so I asked owner David Bingham how
they get away with driving it all over the place... His response...
"It's amazing what you can do with a set of dealer plates"... ;^)
Works for me.
