I have been down this road with my S4.  I also went with the Mintex reds.
However, do you really want some light to tell you when you need to replace your
pads?  I think we are all a bit smarter than that.  What I did is cut the
wires for the sensors near the connector and soldered the two wires together.
Then sealed it up with silicone and put the wire connector back on the little
holder so the wire is still attached to that mounting bracket just to hold it
out of the way.  I never saw the light in the dash again.  If you choose this
route, be sure to do both sides.  My buddy who bought my car has not seen the
light and it has been 2 years now since I did that.  I guess it worked.
