[s-cars] Accident - help

Hi all,
My wife was hit last night.  The woman in front of her at a gas station
must have mistook D for R and backed her pig SUV into the front of our
1995.5 avant.   Nobody was hurt.  Thank god my wife was not checking the
oil at the time!
I have yet to see the car but apparently it got the hood / grill  /
radiator and beloved HID's.  I spoke with the guilty party's insurance
adjuster who is coming to "write an estimate".   This seems odd to me as
I thought the estimates should come from various shops. Any tips on how
to best handle this?
Any sources for body parts? hood etc. I want them replaced vs straightened.
Helluva way to have the rock chips fixed..........
