[s-cars] Difference between the 90S and the CQ

Not to worry, in a couple years the S2 will be legal
to import into Canada, as all cars that are 15 years
or older can be brought in as-is, you just have to pay some
duty and GST....

Thanks to this list I consistently peruse this German
Auto Trader site: www.mobile.de
You can get a better gist of it, if you view it through the
alta vista translator at http://babelfish.altavista.com/
Current cars that are eligibile that were never sold in
North America: VW Rallye Golf, Porsche 959, Nissan Skyline,
I am sure you can think of many more...and it just gets better
every year!
Cheers,
Dan B
p.s. In 2009, I will be zipping around in an RS2, all I need
to do is save $50 a week starting now hehehe

Unfortunately Audi never brought any S2s or RS2s to North America. 2 RS2's
that snuck in at night but one was deported. The only one left is on the
East Cost somewhere being driven legally at a great expense I'm sure. I
don't know of any S2s ever sneaking in.

Be careful of who does the conversion. I have seen several that some
expenses were spared in the beginning and they sure seem to spend time at
the shop. Nothing like a 10-13yr old car with more money dropped into it
than a new S car off the lot.
But, the lightweight coupe does have it's appeal. If only there was a
"grey market" to get one in the states.
Gabriel,
Can you get S2's into Canada at all?
My wife is from the Okanogan BC area and has kept her Canadian citizenship
so I have always kept it in the back of my head that if I could get a car in
her name, I'd be happy to drive it with BC plates.

Well, it is a 20vt. The advantage is a smaller, more nimble, and lighter
car. Some might say prettier too. If you already have a CQ and you can
find an engine from a wreck it's fairly cheap too.
